Buyer beware!

On the 20th June at 15:33 I purchased a black MINI One. I went with my parents and explained that it would be my first car. The car dealer emphatically assured us that the engine was in perfect working order and stated that the only negatives of the car were the scratches on the bodywork. At 15:57, barely 10 minutes after leaving his site, the engine management light came on. Suddenly the car could not accelerate and we were left driving 20mph on a motorway. We had to take it straight to a mechanic who diagnosed a faulty VANOS exhaust and faulty timing chain. He stated that the car should never have been sold in that state. The dealer is now refusing to answer my calls. To this date, I have called approximately 102 times and have had every call declined. He accidentally picked up once and hung up straight away. I am now having to pursue legal action as he will not even let me return the vehicle for a refund. This has been a terrible first car experience and I would not wish it upon anyone.

When the V5 turned up I found out the car was a CAT C write off, even though I asked this question at the time of purchase. The car then blew up a month later, now the dealer is denying ever having sold me the vehicle. I wouldn't trust this man, and would never purchase another vehicl
