Never Again!

I had a mixed experience buying my car from Benedicts of Bristol. I called ahead of viewing the car (which was a 340 mile round trip) which the dealer had increase the price by £300. To secure the car and honour the original price and hold the car he wanted me to pay a non refundable deposit of £250, even though I hadn't seen it. I declined to be held to ransom.

I viewed the car and the dealer only reduced the price by £170 as I refused to risk my money in a vehicle that I had not seen. In my view totally unreasonable. I only bought the car as it was the only 1 to my specification I could find after mine was written off in an accident.

On the plus side Karl, the salesman was fantastic, helpful and a pleasure to do business with.

Would I recommend Benedicts of Bristol Absolutely not! The Business owner has no sense of customer service and negotiation, indeed he just hid in his office.

I would have walked away if I knew I could get the car elsewhere. Fortunately for Benedicts, I could not.

Once they have your money they aren't interested!
we bought a Landrover Freelander2 from Benedicts. It wasn't cheap. Listed as £17,250 and we paid £16,300 so no small amount! Part of the agreement of sale was to mend a sizeable chip in the windscreen. This they said they had done but when we collected it the chip was even bigger!
