VW Bath - Never again!

I paid £17k cash for a pre registered Touran from VW Bath leaving a deposit. I had second thoughts about it that night and next day told the salesman I had changed my mind. The salesman couldn't empathise enough how good VW are swore that I would have no trouble whatsoever from the car. I was slowly talked around and daft enough to buy the car. The salesman turned out to be a complete and utter liar! The thing was a horror to drive due to faulty glass work. Eventually the glass was replaced all the way around. A windscreen was left in the car damaging the seat. It spent more time in the dealers repair bay than it did me driving it. An absolute pile of poo! It went in for a service and was returned with a red warning lamp on! A cooling pump had also packed up. The dealers are incompetent cowboys. Having got fed up with the car keep being taken in for work to be done I eventually sold it and bought another make. I lost £5000 on this heap of rubbish. If you are thinking of buying a VW Touran or dealing with VW Bath do yourselves a favour forget both ideas. This was the first VW I have ever owned and I wouldn't touch a VW again as a gift. I have given VW a one star rating as there isn't a zero star option. I just pity the poor sod who this car has been unloaded onto.

Steer clear

I purchased a used VW 1.6TDI Golf (one of the 'emission issue' affected engines, fixed by software), left a deposit and waited for the car to be ready to be collected.
