Do not buy a car from Watkins

We read the reviews and despite some pretty negative comments from other buyers we went ahead and bought the car because it was exactly what we needed and couldn't afford to be without a car for long. We should have trusted the other reviewers as our haste resulted in a terrible experience.

Within days the car started going wrong with multiple faults. Watkins were helpful at first and covered the cost of a small repair we had carried out locally. Unfortunately within days the car continued to present new faults and we never had a period where it was working for more than a few days.

We had two separate companies look at the car and it was deemed irrepairable. Watkins refused to even look at the car and wouldn't accept that there was a problem. As soon as we discovered that the car had such a major fault we asked for a refund, they refused.

Finally under threat of legal action they offered to "fix" the car despite two garages and the AA advising us that it was irrepairable. When we went to collect
