Main dealer service levels without the pomp
I've been using Wallis & Son to service my two cars for the last 7 years after I fell out of love with main dealer costs and arrogance. They are about as far from an "under the arches" garage as it's possible to get without being a main dealer, with a spotless workshop, great fleet of "free" loan cars, and all the facilities and capabilities you'd expect to work competently on today's cars.
They are NOT cheap, however. But in mitigation they have, on more than one occasion, recommended more cost effective ways to complete a repair than simply "replacing the whole thing". This is a welcome level of service, and recognition that the customer is not simply a bottomless pit of money to be milked.
I regularly recommend the to friends and colleagues, and if repeat business is a good measure (which it is) I'm sure they'd score highly. I strongly recommend you give them a go.
