Hopefully an isolated case, but very bad experience !

I took my car to Cranleigh autos following a problem with the steering. Following their diagnosis of the problem it was agreed that the car was not economically repairable. Because of this I decided to purchase a second hand car from them. This vehicle developed a fault within the first 10 days of purchase. To cut a long story short, after much going back and forth they refused to my right under the sales of goods act to a refund. I had to take legal action which took nearly a year, to get my refund. In the meantime I discovered after getting a second opinion, that the car which was supposed to be uneconomically repairable, could in fact be repaired easily and at a reasonable cost. The problem had been misdiagnosed. The customer and after sales care was absolutely terrible, and unfortunately I can think of nothing good to say about Cranleigh autos. I have no confidence in them whatsoever and would never use there service again.
