Avoid independent used car sales outlets like the plague

Found the car that I was looking for at NCV via Google.

At first all went well, car in good condition all round, price and exchange agreed.

It then transpired very late in the sale process that the service record could not be found.

Considering the car was less than 5 years old with 68000 on the clock I was prepared to continue on the salesman's assurance that it would be serviced before handover.

After two weeks /120 miles I did the usual checks i.e tyre pressures, coolant level and oil.

I became immediately suspicious on seeing the oil on the dipstick was dense black and more viscous than the recommended 5/30 grade. The sales person swore “100%” that the oil had been changed and that the colour was due to it being a diesel engine. I immediately took the car to my local garage to examine the engine seviceable components and replace as required to Skoda standards, which included the oil, visibly dirty pollen and air filters, and for safety, ,the fuel and oil filter as previous replacement mileage and da

Don't buy from NCVsales, you have been warned!

Complete Muppets

Bought a car that had failed oil pump within two days. NCV eventually accepted the car back and made a refund but argued at every turn and made things extremely difficult. I recovered from lung cancer a few years ago and this was a far easier experience than dealing with these Muppets.

bought a used Mercedes ml 250 from the guys at ncv, which was very clean and very well presented, had a couple of issues with it and this was all sorted and even gave me a courtesy car! would definitely recommend

Just Brought Peugeot Partner Tepee

All went well til i picked up car when taking it home noticed front storage box missing. I know it was there as me and my wife and said it was a good place for sat.nav etc. When asked where it was i was told it never had one. whith that i startyed to look closer at vehicle no oil filter change as was tolld had been done all so fuel filter looks doutfull.not a good experience keep clear
