Unroadworthy Used Car
I saw a Mercedes e320 online at manoroakcars.co.uk during Covid and it had about 20 photos, and looked amazing. However, when I went to pick up the car, 200 miles away, I found the car was not as described.
The car had lots of issues from day one. Firstly, it had 4 bald tyres which i only noticed after going to put air in to drive home from the garage, as one tyre was completely flat. It had minor scratches everywhere, big noticable cracks in the front and back bumpers, 2 small, but noticable dents in the body work, 3 inch cracks in the dashboard, a half hanging off bonnet lever, a bonnet that didnt shut on one side, the car itself was covered in moss, dirt and dried up leaves, and a badly chipped windshield - nothing like the photo at all, and would never pass an MOT if it went in for inspection that day. BUT the advert photo showed it was clean, shiny, immaculate even. In fact the ad said the car was in "excellent condition" and that wasnt the worst part. Thew worst was yet to come.
As I had alread
