This company's motto is "We're all about TLC, not PLC". My experience with Ian Grieve Ltd couldn't be further from that, and is without doubt my worst encounter with a car dealer in over 25 years of motoring.
As I live over an hour's drive from the Ian Grieve dealer in Falkirk, I phoned to ask more details about the car I was interested in buying, a 4 year old Peugeot 508 estate with 53k miles. A deciding factor for me is that the car has full service history, I was told during the phone call that it did. Service history wasn't mentioned in Ian Grieve's online adverts.
When we arrived at Ian Grieve and checked the service record, there was only one stamp in the book, at around 21k miles, when the car was 2 years old. We told the Ian Grieve salesman (Jamie) that we weren't willing to buy a car without FSH, and he assured us that it did have FSH, the last stamp had been omitted, but he could get the book stamped and up to date by the garage who last serviced the car.
