My car developed a knock after 1 week

My new car developed a knock after 1 week. After a lot of fuss, taking the car to the garage they recommended to have it checked and then back to them so they could check it they agreed to sort it out, fab I thought. When it went in for the repair they phoned and asked me to pay over £300 labour as it wasn't covered by their warranty. I wasn't happy and tried to complain but I was told that them paying £100 for the parts was a gesture of goodwill. I shopped around and found that the main dealer would complete the job for £213.00 half the price of their recommended garage!! I was thanked for taking the time to shop around and again told they'd sort it out. Again I assumed that this meant they'd pay for the work as I'd only had the car 1 week before the problem was found. How wrong I was. When the work was completed they again offered to pay £100 toward the cost, after numerous phone calls this was increased to £150.00. They supplied 2 keys with the car but only one worked. When I questioned this I was told that they only had to supply 1 key. If I wanted to take them to court then go ahead as I'd loose as they'd already been taken to court for exactly the same and unless the advert states 2 keys they don't have to supply 2 working keys. I now have to pay £50.00 to have the 2nd coded in. I have learnt that "we'll sort that out" doesn't mean what it says and that just because a garage supplies you with 2 keys don't assume that they will work check before you need to use the 2nd key or you could get caught short!! Very poor after sales service. I've spoken to trading standards and they say I need to take them to court. Is it worth the time and effort for the difference? Probably not. Stay well away

I have just recently purchased my 3rd car from Harlequin Motor Company, I have found the customer service very good, nothing too much trouble, after purchasing my recent car, it did have a problem with the sensor, they replaced it, they also replaced the wind screen wipers

Car for my wife

I purchased a car for my wife from this company, numerous issues surfaced within a short period of owning it. Owner pretended to be the cleaner when calling on one occasion, and was belligerent when confronted in person. Do not buy from this company, you WILL regret it.
